Rouse China further strengthens Dispute Resolution capacity with new hire

Rouse is pleased to announce the appointment of leading Intellectual Property (IP) litigator Jacob Chen to head its Dispute Resolution Team in Guangzhou.

An experienced lawyer and litigator in China, Jacob has advised clients on both contentious and non-contentious IP matters in China, and represented international and domestic clients before the Chinese government authorities, Chinese courts, the China Domain Name Dispute Resolution Centre and the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Centre.

Jacob studied English and law in China, and worked with a law firm (Walker Morris) and Barristers’ Chambers (Hogarth Chambers) in the UK under the Lord Chancellor’s Training Scheme for Young Chinese Lawyers. He is a member of the China Bar Association, the Editorial Committee of INTA China Bulletin and the INTA Anti-counterfeiting East Asia & Pacific Committee. He also serves as a panellist for the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Centre for Domain Name Dispute Resolution.

Linda Chang, Rouse’s China Country Manager, comments: “The addition of Jacob to our growing Dispute Resolution Team will provide us with additional expertise to satisfy the increasing demands of both international and domestic clients. The Dispute Resolution Team, which is supported by Rouse’s full-service global IP network, provides dispute resolution services throughout southern China.”
