Richard Willoughby (with the assistance of David Lancaster) has been quoted by Dow Jones, Wall Street Journal, The Telegraph and the Financial Times on the ECJ ruling where any process which involves removal of a stem cell from a human embryo and entails the destruction of that embryo cannot be patented.

Colin Fowler has been quoted by Mobile Magazine on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 ban in Australia after a Sydney court granted Apple a temporary injunction to prevent sales.

The Court ruled that it is not illegal for football fans to buy set-top box decoder cards from foreign broadcasters. This decision could have a huge impact on the way broadcasters buy rights to sports as the ECJ says an exclusive system of licences is ‘contrary to EU law’. 4 October 2011

George Chan was featured in an article by the National Office of Intellectual Property (NOIP) in Vietnam on his recent presentation to the NOIP on INTA Guidelines for Trademark Examination. NOIP representatives noted that the his presentation ‘would prove very useful to NOIP officials involved in developing policies, as well as officials involved in trademark examinations, as the NOIP continues to improve trademark examination guidelines.’ Please click here to view a translated pdf of the article.
